first of all, allow me to welcome you here in our family.
i never tried to meditate actually so i have no personal experience. but for my mental health, i read and i focus on my interests ad hobbies like sport or here the internet
this helps to keep me away from the disraction of things i don't want to think of or maybe helps me to ignore what's going on around me for a period of time
yup not always work but still good way
also sleeping helps, cause im a dreamer and i dream a lot while im sleeping, and no matter how was the dream bad or good but i feel like its better than the reality
